### Capture Session Replays via the Chrome Extension

Lew Gordon

**Description:** You can now capture Session Replays directly from the Amplitude Chrome extension, no code changes required. By enabling Session Replay in Event Test Mode, you can instantly record and inspect real user experiences on any site that supports Session Replay. This is a powerful way to test run Session Replay without contacting a developer.

**How it works:** • Open *Settings → Event Test Mode* • Set your *API key* • Check *Enable Session Replay* • Navigate to the *Session Replay* tab and look for *“Capturing”* to confirm recording is active

**What’s included:** • Capture replays on any site that generally works with Session Replay • Immediate visibility into user flows without redeploying code • Supports *EUDC* via the *“This project is using EU Data Center”* checkbox

**Notes:** There may be conflicts if the site is already instrumented with Amplitude Session Replay.
