Amplitude Expands AI Visibility Tool
AI Visibility 1.5 updates include content generation, AI chat-driven traffic analysis, better UI, and improved reliability
Since we launched AI Visibility, more than 27,000 brands have used our free tool to track how often they appear in AI conversations on ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. What started as a small experiment has become one of the fastest adopted tools we have ever released. Today, brands are using it to understand how they show up in AI search, pinpoint competitive advantages, and develop strategies to ensure they are front and center in every search.
This early response reflects a bigger shift in the industry. AI-generated answers now influence more customer journeys than traditional search results, and updates from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google have only accelerated that trend. ChatGPT’s Search Preview makes AI responses a primary starting point. Google continues to expand AI Overviews. Even social platforms are experimenting with AI recommendation engines that reshape discovery.
Brands are realizing that appearing in these systems is now just as important as appearing in traditional search. They want a clear, simple way to monitor how AI platforms talk about them without long setups or enterprise contracts. Because AI Visibility is free and requires no signup, teams across marketing, product, and growth can get answers in under a minute.
The momentum we are seeing is great validation that AI search has arrived with a bang and is here to stay.
Lessons learned from early customers
In the past three months, customers across every major industry have created over 70,000 AI Visibility reports. Many weren’t sure how they would rank. The data often revealed good news, but many brands found that they were missing from high-intent prompts. Some saw competitors owning key topics. Others discovered that sources like YouTube, Reddit, and Wikipedia were shaping narratives they were not part of.
Performance in these AI chats turns out to be measurable and improvable. Once teams saw visibility gaps in these LLMs, they immediately asked the same question: what should we do next?
That is exactly where we are focused with our latest updates to AI Visibility.

Sentiment analysis
Visibility alone is not enough. Our customers also need to know whether AI platforms are describing their brand positively or negatively. Sentiment scoring evaluates each AI answer to classify the tone of a brand’s mentions. Then, it aggregates those scores across prompts and topics to give teams a more accurate picture of user perception.
Recommendations to improve visibility
Teams want clarity about what to do next. Our analysis will soon highlight specific opportunities and offer recommendations for action, such as:
- Your competitor is strong in this topic. You may want to prioritize content here.
- These listicles mention your competitor but not you. You could consider outreach.
- This topic consistently omits your brand. Updating supporting content may improve representation.
These suggestions turn insight into action and help teams quickly make meaningful improvements.
More models
We currently support the two systems that matter most to digital marketers: ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. However, we're seeing increased interest in other AI chats such as Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. Each AI chat has valuable use cases, and we want to ensure we can capture as much customer engagement as possible.
More integrations across Amplitude
Amplitude Analytics is the leading digital analytics platform. The more we can combine AI Visibility with Amplitude Analytics, the more useful it will be for our customers. You can already identify people who go from AI chats to your website. You can track their conversion rate, show them guides, or retarget them with ads. Soon, you'll also be able to put AI Visibility data in charts and dashboards, access it via MCP and AI Agents, and export it to any of Amplitude's export destinations.
Why AI Visibility matters now
AI search is majorly influencing decisions early in the customer journey. Whether someone asks ChatGPT for product recommendations or glances at a Google AI Overview, their perception of your brand forms before they ever interact with you. If your competitors dominate LLM search, they will likely win customers you’ll never even see.
AI Visibility was created to help every company understand and improve how AI models talk about them. The momentum in these first weeks has been amazing, and these updates will make the tool even more actionable.
If you have already tried AI Visibility, thank you. Your feedback has helped us improve our product and will continue to guide what we build next. If you have not explored it yet, now is the perfect time. It is free, fast, and designed to give you clarity on your AI presence in a way no traditional SEO tool can.
AI search is the new front door to your brand. With AI Visibility, you can finally see what customers see and take control of your brand’s narrative.
Test how your brand ranks in AI search today.
